About
The goal of Fine Edge Tutoring is to provide students with the necessary tools for a life-long desire for learning and to help them develop their natural ability for achieving academic success. We do this by offering students in-home tutoring sessions in familiar surroundings, thus minimizing distraction and optimizing convenience for families. Following an initial assessment of academic standing and study habits including strengths and weaknesses, sessions are then tailored to each student’s particular need. Our experienced tutors are quick to identify areas for improvement and are able to encourage students to meet their challenges and opportunities head on with confidence. Tutoring is available in all grade school and high school subjects including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses and SAT preparation (upon request). We assist students with their homework and prepare them for tests. If required we will liaise with their teachers for their input. Feedback to parents on student progress is regularly provided.

Fine Edge Tutoring takes pride in selecting tutors who are experts in their academic disciplines. In addition to having a deep understanding of their field of study, they have mastered the art of tutoring including coaching and challenging students beyond their curriculum requirements. Our tutors are mentors, motivators and confidence builders. They communicate with classroom teachers on a regular basis to ensure student progress. All tutors are required to undergo thorough background checks.
